When using web services, always visit settings and privacy dashboards to see if you can disable some data collection from the services. If you think a service is too privacy-invading, use an alternative if available.
Generally speaking, using sandboxes like Firefox's containers is a good idea when using privacy-invading services. At the very least, using a different browser for your personnal and professionnal activities is a good practice.

Remember when you post something on the net, anyone can copy it, edit it, and cherry-pick the information to make you look like a criminal. This includes hackers, foes, and any current or future governments who may have bad intentions.
